Santosh Sivan directed "Tahaan" which hits the theatres today (September 5) is a film about the journey of an eight year old kashmiri boy named Tahaan (Purav Bhandare) in search of his donkey. How he meets with different characters and overcomes different situations through his journey is what "Tahaan" is all about. The film takes the form of a fable and tries to touch upon the issues of terrorism at Kashmir but all through the eyes of the child. It stars industry veterans like Anupan Kher, Victor Banerjee, Rahul Bose, Sarika and Rahul Khanna. Sivan captures the true beauty of Kashmir and succeeds in making the film look highly gripping . I don't think audience would have much to complain about. With movies like "Tahaan" bollywood is getting more and more diverse and giving audience a different genre of movies to choose from. It's very important that movies like "Tahaan" perform well in the box office so that movie makers feel encouraged to produce more such kind of diverse films. As for now "Tahaan" is a must watch.
