Imran reminds Sanjay Gadhvi of Marlon Brando
Sanjay Gadhvi the director of Imran's next movie Kidnap is in awe of Imran's talent and looks. Sanjay was very clear with who he wanted to cast in Kidnap.
"The first casting was of Sanjay Dutt and if Sanjay Dutt says no to a film, the film cannot be made. He said yes not once, but twice. Then I wanted to cast a boy across Sanjay Dutt because I was very clear that it had to be a man versus boy story. Imran's face is very interesting. Many girls won't like it but I didn't find him dead drop gorgeous. He reminded me of Marlin Brando in The Waterfront. He has very expressive eyes, plus his entire demeanour is different. Also, he is a very unusual kind of guy, so that's what I liked about him." says Sanjay Gadhvi

Hrithik misses wife Suzanna
Hrithik Roshan has been in Mexico for the past one month shooting for his home production Kites with Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori. One month being a long time Hrithik no doubt started getting home sick and missing his wife and son. So dad Rakesh Roshan soon arranged to get his bahu Suzanne and the kids to Las Vegas where Hrithik had gone for a short period. The entire family met at Hrithik's hotel suite in las Vegas and had a good family time.......that surely was a comforting break from work for Hrithik.

Preity Zinta to Play Salman's Sikhni in Heroes
After her fabulous performance in The Last Lear Preity Zinta will be seen opposite Salman in Heroes. Insiders comment that this is by far Preity's most commendable performance and she can well be expected to win many awards for her role in Heroes. She plays Salman's widow in the film who happens to be the sole bread winner of the family. She struggles to rare up her kids and earn a livelihood for them. Preity's role is said to be one of the most pivotal in the movie. Well with her kind of acting talents am sure she would do absolute justice to the role.
This week's Review: Welcome to Sajjanpur

Shyam Benegal's Welcome to Sajjanpur has surely succeeded in making the audience laugh and leave the theatres with a smiling face. It's a very simple village based story of Mahadev (Shreyas Talpade) who wants to become a novelist but eventually lands up becoming a letter writer as he is the only literate person in his entire village. But soon he starts playing tricks to better encash upon his letter writing skills and falls into a series of events.
Amrita Rao does not seem to be as authentic in the village house-wife role as portrayed but Ila Arun's role although extremely small does give the desired message.
Overall its a good comic movie and one would not repent going to the theatres for it.
SRK Opts for Priyanka instead of Rani
Shahrukh's home production Billoo Barber being directed by Priyadrashan is supposed to have three special item numbers featuring three hottest sizzling heroines opposite SRK. While kareena and Deepika Padukone were already signed in for two of the item numbers, Shahrukh was in a dilemma whether to choose Rani or Priyanka. But finally he made a call and chose Priyanka Chopra over dear friend Rani Mukherjee. I wonder what state of mind Rani must be in after Shahrukh's this decision.

Katrina and Shahrukh to be in Yash Chopra's next flick
Yash Chopra has signed Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif for his next directorial venture after the super hit blockbuster Veer Zara. Well after the Salman-Shahrukh fight one really can't think of Katrina starring opposite Shahrukh but sources reveal that Yash Chopra himself went up to Katrina to offer the movie to her and when a person like Yash ji comes how could Katrina just say No - after all its a dream come true for any actress. But the twist here is that Katrina finally signed the film on September 16th when Salman left for his forty day shoot to Paris and London for Vipul Shah's London Dreams. So does that mean Salman was unaware of the offer when Katrina signed it.....well whatever be the case; with the creme of bollywood coming together in this movie audience will surely have their share of entertainment.
Adnan Sami-Aadesh Srivastava fight
Aadesh Srivastava recently fought with singer Adnan Sami at the birthday party of singer Richa Sharma in Mumbai. Aadesh insulted Adnan Sami by saying he is not a good singer and that he does not have a legal work permit to be working in the Indian Film Industry.....Aadesh wants Adnan to leave India and get back to Pakistan....read some of the comments here.
Amir's Plan of action for the Oscars

Amir Khan plans to be highly pro-active for the Oscars this time. He has a list of things planned for making Taare Zameen Par win the oscars next year.
“I will be holding special screening for the members of the jury so that most of them see it. Besides, I am planning to go for an ad campaign in newspapers and will also be hiring a PR agency to create an awareness for the film among the masses,” he confirmed.
Since this is Amir's second Oscar nomination after Lagaan he is very positive and confident about Taare Zameen Par
“I feel, this time I will get an advantage as I had already left an impression there with ‘Lagaan’. So people are aware about me and my work and I am hopeful to get a preference this time.”
Well Amir definitely is doing all the right things for TZP and we truly hope he gets India an Oscar this time.
Abhi-Ash to play Shah Jahan & Mumtaz
Sources reveal that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been approached by a very popular production house to play the role of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz. I don't think any other actress could match the beauty of Mumtaz other than Aishwarya and Abhi-Ash off-screen pair being so sought after they surely would make a good Shah Jahan- Mumtaz on-screeen jodi. As for now we have to stay tuned for more news on this....

Abhishek Bachchan's narrow escape from the Delhi blast
Amitabh wrote on his blog that the traffic jam prevented Abhishek from reaching Connaught Place in Delhi. Abhishek was in Delhi and had to reach Connaught Place for attending an event, but due to heavy traffic he got delayed and knew he would not be able to make it to the event on time hence asked the driver to turn the car back. The blast happened just then.

ROCK ON continues to ROCK
ROCK ON continues to do exceedingly well at all the theaters. With overall collection of Rs. 9.5 crores (approx USD 2 million) and Rs. 8 Crore (USD 1.7 million) in the first and second weeks respectively, the movie is expected to do equally well in the third week as well. It surely is a must watch.
