Salman's Gupshup with Abhishek

Be it negative publicity or positive it does not really bother Salman Khan it seems.......especially when it is in anyway related to his ex-lover Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It was Salman's comment over SRK's Paanchvi Paas and the later's comment over Aishwarya that infuriated both the Khans at Katrina's birthday bash and turned the happy event into an eventful (although for the wrong reasons) evening for both Salman and SRK. And now the latest news goes this way that Salman bumped into Aishwarya's husband Abhishek during the shooting of his film Veer where apparently Abhishek was also shooting for his soon to be released Drona. Salman took the initiative to walk upto Abhishek and chit-chat with him for as long as half an hour. So lets guess what must they have talked about.......hmmmmm..did Salman ask how was Aishwarya ? or may be Abhishek actually invited Salman over to their house for evening tea. Now we would have to wait for a couple of days to know what was the topic of their conversation - half an hour is quite a long duration for the two Aishwarya lovers......Lets wait and watch.

Kabhi Saif Kabhi Stallone

Saif Kareena Jodi does look quite sizzling on screen, but does that hold true for the hollywood action hero Stallone and kareena too.....we would have to wait for "kambakht Ishq" to prove that. But for now the duo's pic does make some buzz especially after Bebo's kiss to Stallone. Hope the kiss isn't as much of a trouble to Saif as the media has made it....well we gotto ask this to Saif.

5th in a Row for Akki with Singh is King

With four blockbuster hits in 2007 the Punjabi Puttar (Akshay Kumar) has given yet another hit to his producers making it the fifth hit in a row. Yes! the much awaited and hyped "Singh is King" has at last been declared a super hit with a record earning of Rs. 90 crore (USD 2 million) in the first week and with over Rs. 167 crore (USD 38 million) in worldwide ticket sales. The hilarious journey of "gaon ka launda" Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar) from Punjab to Australia to bring back the real king Lucky Singh (Sonu Sood) has all the right masalas and is definitely worth watching. Akki with his designer turbans, true sardar look and the perfect Punjabi dialect and Katz looking truly like a "soni kudi" is a full paisa wasool especially when it comes to the Punjabi/Sardar sections of the audience. And of course Snoop Dogg's special title track theme with Akki is yet another reason to go watch the film (behind the scene video of Snoop dogg tying the turban).
According to reports, Akshay Kumar is now being offered Rs 70 crore (over USD 15 million) for an upcoming project. Know one knows how authentic that figure is but Rs 70 crore for an actor is unheard of. Well we just have to wait to hear it from the industry insiders it seems.
I think most of the characters in the movie had good comic scenes. Javed Jaffery who plays a half blind and half deaf brother of Lucky (Sonu Sood) has done a great job with his peculiar accent and funny scenes. He has a two minute dance sequence too in the movie (that's when Javed urf Mika in the movie shows his true colors).
In all I did laugh watching the movie. It is definitely not the kind of movie art film or serious film lovers would enjoy much. Very light hearted feel good kind of a movie - just don't try to find logic in the movie or even anything that makes any sense. It's just a cool hilarious movie and thats about it - Good for the Akki fans as he is super good in the movie and all Katrina fans would surely not want to miss her look in it. With Singh is King Akshay has once again brought moolahs to the industry and his producers. If not to the directors and producers Singh is King should at least get Akshay the best comic actor award at the Filmfare next year...."keep going Akki....we just love watching your movies".

singh is king is awesome
