Preity Zinta bags Best Actress Award
Preity Zinta gets the Best Actress Award at the highly acclaimed Chicago International Film Festival for her performance in 'Heaven on Earth'. Happy Preity says...

Katrina wants more serious roles
Katrina is in very high demand...especially after her series of hits with Akshay Kumar. She has bagged leading roles with all the big banners and directors....including Yash Chopra. But when asked about this to Katz baby; she said she wants more serious kind of roles where she would be able to show more of her acting potentials....and the type of role she has in mind is of a 'mentally retarded girl'. Hope this message is traveling across to all the directors out there. With her kind of dedication Katz will surely be able to bag her dream role pretty soon.
SRK-Akki pairs up
Sources reveal SRK and Khiladi No. 1 Akshay Kumar will soon be seen together on screen. The two actors recently met at Sabina Khan's birthday party and talked with each other for more than hours...rumours are that they were perhaps talking about a possible plot. ...here are some of the insiders' comments
An onlooker reveals, “The two actors haven’t come face-to-face in a long time, so they haven’t had a chance to sort things out. But that changed at the party. They talked at length and realised that some mischief makers were at work. It was mostly SRK who was doing the talking and Akki listening. The discussion was also of misunderstandings being deliberately created between both. Then they discussed the possibility of doing a film together. SRK invited Khiladi Kumar for an evening of games at his home, Mannat. An invitation to the Khan residence is a sign of acceptance in his close group.”
The source adds, “When curious guests wanted to find out what the two actors talked about, SRK got irritated. Don’t be surprised if they produce a film together and star in it. It will be the hottest project even before it goes on the floors.
Another source explains, “Shah Rukh already has a project in mind for himself and Akshay. The film will see both of them playing cops who have different ways of policing. One uses the legal way while the other will go to extreme lengths to punish criminals. Shah Rukh hopes to start this film early in 2009.”
Well whatever be the case it surely is good news for all SRK-Akki fans...isn't it.

Karan Johar troubled with Kajol for Nysa
Kajol had agreed to do Karan's next film The Name is Khan only on one condition that he would not make her do overseas shoots for more than 20 days at a stretch. Hence KJ is having trouble managing his shooting schedule and finances with his lead actress shuttling between foreign locations and Mumbai for daughter Nysa.

Super model Mugdha Godse plays the role of a model in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion. But was it easy playing the role....this is what Mugdha has to say about it.
“It does sound good and easy from your end and you do get a psychological support but it`s not a piece of cake. My character is nothing close to what I am in my real life. Not the kind of a person or a model. So it`s a completely different journey I`m going through in the film. So for me it was different. Acting and modeling are two different genres all together. In Fashion I`m not the kind of a ramp model that I`m off screen.”

Big B Discharged from Hospital
Amitabh Bachchan was discharged from hospital on Friday, almost a week after he was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital. Once back home, Big B soon updated his blog and wrote about his experience.....
Big B thanked his fans for all their prayers and good wishes as he wrote....
“Your love overwhelms me. Your concern for my well being humbles me. I owe so much to you.”
“My sincerest thanks to all who gave me strength to fight another medical battle. The fans and well wishers. The media friends who wrote in on my mobile. Friends who visited me at the hospital and those that wrote in. Strangers who I never met or know.”

But this is what he wrote about the media for being harrassed on the night he was taken to hospital.....
“There is a muted silence outside…No one says a word, except the media. They clamour and scream for that exclusive shot, invading the sanctity of the ambulance. They would never understand the sensitivity of the situation,” he wrote.
He added: “Media is an added hindrance to a smooth, quick emergent ride to Nanavati. If they had their way they would ideally want to be seated on the stretcher with me and have me answering questions - ‘What would be the celebrations for the birthday sir and will you be inviting Shah Rukh’. Insensitive. Callous.”
Amitabh would be relaxing at home for few days now and giving company to the women at home for celebrating Karva Chauth.

SRK: The Next SuperHero
After Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan, SRK becomes the next super hero. Shahrukh would be playing the role of a super hero named "Ra" who is a regular father with super hero strengths. The script of the movie has been written by SRK himself after his son Aryan gave him the idea of this film. Lets see how SRK is at that.......

Big B's sudden hospitalization on his 66th birthday kept the nation praying for his fast recovery. Abhishek recently confirmed Amitabh's condition.
“My father has intestinal problems and is doing well now. He is responding well to the medicines,” said Abhishek.
“My father will remain in hospital for the next 48-72 hours and I thank all his fans and you journalists for being supportive of our family at this juncture,” he added.
We all hope Big B gets well soon.

Extensive Promo Campaign for Himesh's Karzzzz
Reliance ADA Group Company, Big Picture has launched an extensive promotional online campaign for their next home production "Karzzzz" starring Himesh Reshammiya. The Company is spending close to Rs. 30 Lakhs ($62k) for the two week long campaign. Some of the unique features of the campaign are launch of a dedicated "Karzzzz" webiste which will host lots of interesting/cool stuff to keep users engaged.....One such feature worth mentioning is an online game based on the movie's re-incarnation theme. There will be an ongoing contest too where the 10 highest scorers will win free movie tickets and merchandise. That sounds awesome isn't it...well good for Himesh, his movie surely is a hit much before release.
The movie will hit the screens on October 17th.

Shah Rukh Khan Turns Home Developer
SRK recently announced the launch of his signature real estate development in Dubai - "ShahRukh Khan Boulevard" to be located in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), reports IANS. The 8 billion dirham ($2.2 billion) development will be constructed on the Dana Island off the Ras Al Khaimah coast and will comprise of studios and one and two bedroom apartments. When SRK was asked about his sudden plans of property development he said
"I have a strange fetish for home. It's close to my heart," he was quoted as saying."Bit by bit, I have built my home where the future of my children lies. While I have done so much for my home, why can't I extend this to others?"
The entire property will cover 3 million square feet and will be designed by well known architect Tony Ashai. Some of the worth mentioning features of the property would be an underwater discotheque, a public square on the beach and an exclusive theatre.
